General Council of Prosecutors of Spain

When the Law on Professional Associations was published on February 13, 1974, it was established as a matter of urgency that when several Associations of the same profession were constituted, with a lower scope than the national one, there would be a General Council. Hence the change of name suffered by the National Council, which was renamed the General Council of the Illustrious Colleges of Prosecutors of the Courts of Spain. In order to bring it into line with the guidelines of the Professional Associations Act, the Council was confirmed, by ministerial order of 21 March 1977, its own regulations amending the composition of its members with respect to the previous regime of the National Board.
