General Council of Official Colleges of Chemicals of Spain
The General Council of Official Colleges of Chemists is a public law corporation that integrates chemical professionals from all sectors, whose purposes are the management within the scope of its competence of the exercise of the chemical profession, the exclusive institutional representation of the same, the defense of the interests of the collegiate professionals, and the protection of the interests of consumers and users of the services provided by chemists; promoting the advance of the exercise of chemistry towards excellence. In addition, the General Council of Official Colleges of Chemists is the representative body of the different Colleges, the General Council has the power to represent the whole profession both internationally and nationally in order to contribute to the strengthening of the status and practice of the chemical profession and to represent and defend the interests of chemists in Spain, and globally, in the countries with which it maintains international relations. It is a prerequisite for the exercise of the profession of Chemist to be incorporated in the College of the sole or principal professional domicile. For this purpose, to be able to be part of a College, it will be necessary to be in possession of the Degree of Bachelor of Chemical Sciences, Bachelor of Chemistry or Bachelor of Science (Chemical Section). They will also be able to integrate other Graduates whose higher university degrees are based on Chemical Science and Technology, provided that there is no specific College that groups a group determined by its specialty degree.
