General Council of Colleges of Economists

The General Council of Economists of Spain is a Corporation of Public Law, with its own legal personality and full capacity for the fulfillment of its purposes. It is governed by the Law on Professional Associations (Law 2/1974, of 13 February, on Professional Associations, amended by Law 74/1978 of 26 December, by Law 7/1997, of 14 April and by Royal Decree Law 6/2000, of 23 June) and by its own Statutes (Royal Decree 900/2017, of 6 October, approving the Statutes of the General Council of Economists of Spain). The General Council of Economists of Spain is the corporation that groups, coordinates and represents in the state, European and international spheres the Colleges and, through them, the collegiate professionals, and orders, defends and protects the professional practice of the collegiates, and also protects the interests of consumers and users of the services provided by the collegiates.
