General Council of Official Colleges of Technical Engineers and Degrees in Mines and Energy

The current Law of Professional Associations requires compulsory tuition for any form of professional exercise, without differentiation between the different forms of exercise either free, individual, associated, in labor relations with public or private companies or providing service for any of the Spanish Public Administrations. It is considered a professional exercise to carry out an activity that is accompanied by professional recognition by virtue of the academic title that empowers you to practice the profession of Technical Mining Engineer. The deontological function is peculiar to the Professional Colleges and their General Councils being attributed to them by law within the scope of their competences. The deontological function includes the definition and approval by the collegiate organization of the deontological code of the profession, and the disciplinary authority exercised by the Professional Associations. The code of ethics must be unique by profession for the entire territory of the State, hence its approval by the General Council.
